Do you have a story idea that would make A GREAT SHORT FILM? Do you have a story about something important to you THAT ONLY YOU CAN TELL? Do you want to impress your family, friends and neighbors, and COMPETE FOR CASH PRIZES? Winning teams will gather at PAH-FEST to write, produce, shoot and edit their 6 minute story. PAH-FEST will provide everything needed to make their movies for FREE: a prosumer camera, an editing system and coaches, plus a one-day crash course to help prepare for production. Movies will be screened at Festival Closing Ceremony, and a cash prize awarded to the winner.
The Cellphone Art Contest challenges your imagination by giving you the following ingredients to make a one-minute movie: a video-enabled cell phone (or you can use your own); a surprise topic given out by Christopher Coppola before the contest begins; just a few short hours to create and submit your Cellphone Art entry.
Everyone is welcome to show up at PAH-FEST and participate in this fun and exciting contest. Your submission will be featured in the PAH Nation Theater to be rated by celebrity judges and the online public, and a CASH PRIZE is awarded to the winning piece!
Using a video-enabled cell phone, create a 2 minute portrait of yourself or another person. PAH-FEST will supply a complete Adobe editing system for you to edit and finish your piece.
Everyone is welcome to show up at PAH-FEST and create a DigiPortrait. Your submission will be featured in the PAH Nation Theater to be rated by celebrity judges and the online public, and a CASH PRIZE is awarded to the winning piece!
Kids 14 and under participate in a smart phone visual treasure hunt and win a prize!
Using a smart phone, children will help document the "History of Now" by gathering a list of visual ingredients at the same, specific location. They will shoot and edit a 2 minute piece on a smart phone and e-mail or bluetooth it back to PAH Headquarters. They will have 5 hours to complete the task. The Circus Vision piece that interprets the list of visual ingredients the most uniquely, but accurately will win the prize.
Using a flip camera, participants record imagery that visually expresses an original musical composition. Computers, editing software and technical support are provided for FREE to help participants edit and complete their pieces.
